Carin Oestlund

Born and raised in Sweden, Carin is a dual-qualified lawyer who first graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws from Stockholm University in 2017, before she moved to Australia in 2022.

Carin first started her Australian journey in Sydney and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from UNSW Sydney in late 2023, and with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2024, before she was admitted as a lawyer in Australia in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in August 2024.

After working at two law firms in Sydney, first as a paralegal and later as a Litigation Lawyer, Carin decided to move to Perth in 2025, where she worked as a Magistrate Associate at the Family Court of Western Australia, before she joined Coastal Family Law as a Lawyer in March 2026.

In addition to her legal experience from her studies and professional work in Sweden and Australia, Carin also has extensive experience from providing customer service, which is an experience she has found to be very valuable in her work as a Family Lawyer. Carin highly values every client meeting and every conversation with a client and firmly believes it is just as important to be a compassionate and caring lawyer, as it is to be a competent lawyer, and that this is particularly important when working as a family lawyer.

Outside of work, Carin likes to take advantage of the beautiful weather and everything else Australia and Western Australia have to offer outdoors, by spending time at the beach, travelling to explore new and different places, or just enjoying the wonderful weather by taking long walks in the sunshine with friends.
