Shannon De Kock

Lawyer

Shannon graduated from Murdoch University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Laws, obtained a Diploma of Legal Practice in early 2024, and was admitted as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of Western Australia mid-2024.

Shannon is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator, obtaining her accreditation from the University of Western Australia in 2025.

Shannon’s experience in the legal industry is varied, having started her career in Commercial and Civil Litigation before deciding to follow her instincts into the broad practice area that is Family Law. Recognising her robust emotional intelligence, her professional and tactful negotiating style, and her desire to help her clients reach a positive outcome, are strengths best suited for Family Law.

Since moving into the Family Law space in 2024, Shannon is flourishing into a caring and competent junior solicitor, gaining valuable experience in both complex parenting and property matters. Shannon is proud of the fact that many of her matters have reached mutual agreement without the need for (and expense of) a Trial.

Separation is one of the most significant life events a person can go through. Shannon is determined to ensure that her clients are informed and feel confident to take the next steps in the oftentimes daunting process of separation, understanding firsthand how knowledge can ease the anxiety and fear that comes from the unknown.

Outside of work, Shannon’s interests are diverse, ranging from Travel, Art and Sports. Her favourite way to pass time however is with her friends and family.
